Summary

Volunteer with CMHA Moose Jaw and support people in the community who are living with mental health and or addiction challenges. Roles include Friendly Visitor, Peer Supporter, Program Assistant, Event Organizer, and Supportive Counsellor. Volunteers may help clients build social and daily living skills (things like shopping, cooking, cleaning, housing and job search support, recreation, and basic computer use), while following confidentiality and working respectfully within a diverse environment. They’re looking for volunteers who communicate well, can take feedback, and are comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Some roles have specific requirements, including lived experience for Peer Support and appropriate certification for supportive counselling.
